PATRICIA ELMES FARLEY is inspired by many sources: The textiles of the 50's and the paintings and drawings of the Spanish painter JOAN MIRO, the garment designs of ROMEO GIGLI, the regular grid of a traditional quilt and the contemporary quilts of NANCY CROW. The clothesline at her beach house with batiked fabric flying in the breeze. The ocean waves and the roundness of a smooth beach stone.
